GUSNATA PEĆ
Nakon što je nekoliko stoljeća služio kao vojna utvrda, ova Frankopanska utvrda se, nakon razvojačenja Vojne krajine krajem 19. stoljeća, prenamjenjuje u zatvor. U prostorijama koje su preuređene u zatvorske ćelije se ugrađuju peći za grijanje. Peći su izgrađene od gusa, materijala koji dobro provodi i zadržava toplinu.
Peći su se ložile s vanjske strane, iz hodnika u kojima su smještena ložišta, a sve kako bi se onemogućio doticaj zatvorenika s vatrom i osiguralo nesmetano loženje vatre.
Ova peć u ćeliji br. 6 jedina je ostala sačuvana.

FURNACE
After serving as a military fort for several centuries, this Frankopan fortress was converted into a prison after the demobilization of the Military Frontier at the end of the 19th century. Heating furnaces were installed in the rooms that have been converted into prison cells. The furnaces were made of cast iron, a material that conducts and retains heat well.
The furnaces were lit from the outside, from the corridors where the pans were located, in order to prevent the prisoners from touching the fire and to ensure that the smooth fire burning.
This furnace in the cell no. 6 is the only one which was preserved.
